SIPs are a structural building system constructed of a solid core
of foam insulation with laminated skins of oriented strand board
(osb) or plywood. The foam core provides a high insulation value
(R=4 per inch), while the laminated skins contribute to the system's
overall rigidity, strength, and dimensional stability.
